Greetings all,

Thanks in advance for all your help!

I just bought a new Intel Imac 24" 2.16ghz Imac (non-aluminum) white version. After the initial updates when you first start a Mac, I inserted the ILife 08 CD which was supplied with my computer. Nothing happened, the cd went in normally but nothing happened. I tryed rebooting, tried ejecting hold down the mouse at boot. I tried repairing the permissions, nothing happens.

I went to the System Profile, and under ATA there are no devices, as well as under "Disc Burning" there are no devices.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced and if you can give me any advice. In addition the built in ISight camera is not working as well :-(

I think I may have gotten a lemon apple.

Thanks again for any help

This really does sound like a permissions issue if it's not a hardware problem. Run Disk Utility. Since installing Leopard, I've noticed several permissions issues on my computer-- oddities that have been fixed with Disk Utility.
