problem with brand new nano!! HELP

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
I purchased an 8 gig Nano and now when i connected it to the PC iTunes will not let me drag the songs to the new iPod. I formally used the same library for a 2 gig. Is that the reason why it's not working? I know you guys are knowledgable about this.please help!

    Have you selected the option to manually manage your music?

    make sure you have the latest version of itunes
