safari 3.0.4 / yahoo, gmail and new tab button

i have leopard with safari 3.0.4 , my gmail does not open in correct html format and in yahoo i no longer have avatar picture. also anyway to get a new tab button? thanks.

    New tab? Apple + t. Close tab is apple + w. Gmail's fine for me.
