Automatic music recognition - something I'd like to see in iTunes, iPods and iPhones

I had hoped that Apple would integrate a system where you would whistle or humm the tune you just couldn't the recall the name of eversince the Frauenhofer Insitute (the inventors of MP3) showed such a system back in 2000 (or so).
