Hey peeps,

Your ideas please.

My Mac book wont reboot. Ive fixed it through a diagnostic but it still sits at a grey screen.

Ive been qouted $250 smackers to fix it, but want to do it on my own.

Does anyone have any links or ideas how to:

1) Transfer my hard drive to another via firewire cable,

2) Wipe clean a mac that wont boot up,

3) re install all my software

4) transfer all my data back to my mac.

Otherwise, I'll bite the freakn' bullet and get raped for $250.

Regards,

Mike.

    [QUOTE=groovemike;1174763]Hey peeps,

    Your ideas please.

    Mike,

try to find a another MAC book or other with a big external HD thru FW

    both NOT fired up

put FW cable between the two mac's

start teh other mac fist up

as you boot your mac keep Cmd + T pressed down... your Mac will behave as an external HD

then you can clone your HD to the Other external HD

maybe this won't repair your mac, but you can rescue your system and data

after cloning your mac, you can do what you like with the internal HD of your MacBook, as its behaving as a Std HD

    good luck
