T-Mobile sells unlocked iPhone
Following the injunction by Vodafone D2, T-Mobile in Germany is now selling unlocked iPhones as well. The price for such a device is a staggering 999 Euro, when compared to the 399 Euro it costs with a T-Mobile subscription.
T-Mobile will equally unlock all iPhones free of charge bought after November the 19th (date of the injunction) and this upon simple request by the customer.
In their press releaseT-Mobile points out that the phone will work on any other network but loose the innovative feature of Visual Voicemail. They equally point out that one will have no access to the EDGE network or Hotspots by T-Mobile. T-Mobile remains the "sole purveyor of iPhones to Germany"
