Connect MacOS to a soft AP on a PC

I know nothing about Macs in fact I am an avid PC user, however I am running a soft wifi AP on my PC there are three macs around me that cannot access the network. The AP open and not does not have any encryption or password. Any thoughts on how to get the macs to connect?

    One the Macs, make sure "internet sharing" is turned on (system prefs>sharing>internet sharing checkbox>) I'm not positive it will work from Mac to PC, but Macs themselves can act as software base stations. I'm thinking it should work, but I don't know.
