How Can I Play Warcraft 3 without inserting the CD?

For some reason, my Frozen Throne CD has always made the most dreadful sounds from my disc drive when I insert it. Often, it does not mount, and sometimes even ejects itself. I have searched the internet for ways to just make a copy of the CD so that I dont have to insert it every time i want to play. The described methods do not seem to work for me. I am thinking it is because the information posted is from 2004. Yes, I am still playing this game. Can anyone help me with this issue? It is painful for me to hear all the awful noise from my drive when i insert this CD! THanks!
