Printer drivers in software update

Does anyone know if the printer drivers in the Software Update are new ones, or just an easier way of installing the ones available through the downloads section of Apple's MacOSX website?

    I don't kow, but having software update telling me i haven't downloaded the drivers for printers i don't have is getting irritating/ I'm gonna have it check the updates once a month till it stops.

    I don't know. It's so annoying though having all the ones I don't need.
