Printing and 10.1.2

I have installed 10.1.2 and now it seems that i can only print when i am logged in as root.

And can only add printers in root as well,

if i try to print under my log in i only get garrbled text. is any one else having this problem or know how to fix it?

    btw, why do you have root enabled? Could you have fUX0R3d up something when you were as root? Remember, root should not be used unless absolutely necessary.
