iPhoto '08 trash issue.. Help?

Hey everyone,



I've got a problem with iPhoto '08. I have around 7,000 photos in my library, and about 7,000 in the trash (I've been doing some archiving). I want to empty the trash, but whenever I try to access it or empty the trash via the "iPhoto" menu, iPhoto chokes and the spinning wheel appears.



I would really LIKE to empty the trash in smaller batches, as it has been suggested on other forums and as it would probably work, however I can't access or empty the trash.



Any ideas? I have to free up some space on my hard drive.



BTW running most recent versions of iPhoto, Leopard 10.5.1 on my PB 1.66 GHz 2 G of ram.

I once had an issue with iPhoto's trash, and if I recall, I used iPhoto Library Manager to fix it. You may want to contact the author.
