iTunes Automatically Re-opens when I Quit it

For the past month or two, iTunes has been constantly and automatically re-opening whenever I quit it. It's very strange and happens about 3/4 of the time. It's not active, not syncing, sometimes not even playing, etc. Why in the world is this happening? Thanks.

    That happened to me just a week or so ago. It tuned out to be a minor problem with the disc which showed up when I tried to verify disc with disc utility. I had to run disc utility from install cd and now it's fine. Hope this helps
