This is how it would work. just the same as itis now. If you whant a folder to be springloaded darg it to the dock. Now when you click and hold or if you set in the prefs you shouldbe able to pick "stickyclick" so one click pops it up and boom your finderwindow pups up right from the dock. The same thing shouold go for windows. If a minimized window is clicked and held (or ifsticky click is on) you should get the window to pop up right out of the dock and then pop right back down into the dock. This would be really cool for apps like OmniWeb. You could click a link and minimize the window. then you whant to check and see if that page is done loading you just click and hold and the window pops out of the dock and then when you click the window icon again it sucks back in.

It is a simple great way to do this.

What do you guys think?

It is a very good idea, but you should have the option to have springloaded folders the oldway in OS 9 and, in your case, the new springloaded folders. Then it would bring the best of both worlds into X. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
