What I would really like to see is Aperture 2 with more editing tools and the new ilife 08 books... Photo editing plugins would also be an awesome addition!

There WILL be an up-date to Aperture, or they will be dropping it!

It is becoming a VERT important application tying Apple to the new digital age. With all of the new Nikon's and other high end digital camera's ? Aperture will be important to Apple.

Apple has to up-date it now, as many of the other app's out there, are being up-dated, and if Apple waits to long, it WILL to be late.

    Skip

PS Maybe Apple buy's Nix's or one of the other software companies coming up with great software app's out there.

If you think photoshop's only purpose is to cut and paste, you probably should not be purchasing any image editing software.

Plus there are other programs, elements, and software packs that reduce or eliminate the cost.

Cut and paste was a bad description of what I do with it. I really just use it for putting various text over images for Ad-type stuff and to waste time when I'm bored. Unfortunately, Photoshop Elements 2 dosen't work with leapord, so I need something new. That's what I MEANT to say.

But you completely misunderstand the intention of Aperture. Aperture is NOT image editing software it is photo editing, management, and distribution software. Emphasis on the keyword there: photo. It is build for photographers. Not ad agencies. Not web designers. Adding that kind of crap would make it too complicated.

I suspect Aperture 2.0 will be released at Photokina 2008. It comes once every two years in October. Aperture 1.5 was released at Photokina 2006.

If Apple is going to wait that long to update Aperture, they might as well make it Leopard-only.

They probably will. Aperture was Tiger only when it was released, right?
