Hey

spent a bit of time searching for a similar topic on AI, but couldn't, so here's the problem/question :

Is it possible to transfer one PC program I have on my Mac, to the Windows XP Partition I made with BOOTCAMp without having to use an external hard drive or burning a DVD ?

Otherwisely written, from XP on my mac, can I browse and import a file that is located on my OS X partition ?

thanks for the help !

I don't believe OS X can write to an NTFS partition. It can only read it. So if your XP was set up on NTFS, then I think the answer is no.

If you have Windows XP on a FAT32 -formatted volume, Mac OS X can read and write on it without a problem.

If you have formatted the Windows XP volume in NTFS format and want to access it from Mac OS you need one of these:

    - MacFUSE and NTFS-3G-driver, free of charge and working for me like a charm. You can access NTFS formatted volume like they would be network drives

    - NTFS for Mac® OS X, a commercial software to write to (and read of course) NTFS volumes.

If you work under Windows and want to access your Mac OS volume you can use one of these:

    - HFSExplorer, a free software to access HFS(+) volumes

    - MacDrive, a commercial software.

I used this without problem a while ago.

    Good Luck.
