Rattle off some of your experienced OS X glitches.
The biggest glitch I have seen is when I launch iMovie, the dock stays up sometimes?

too many to list... luckily they aren't major.
one I just got a few days ago is I was using IE 5 and then clicked the desktop and use the key command to create a new folder which created behind the IE window and I started to type what I wanted the name of the folder to be and the text showed through IE and sort of got stuck there

Often, the window of the launched app gets in front of the app I'm working on, even though the new app isn't really frontmost. Then I have to click on the second app, and then back to the first, to clear them.
Anyone else have this problem?
My only complaint is that when I reboot, my applications folder gets reset to some crappy setup, and I have to change it to my global settings. This didn't happen with any versions <10.1.2

That's a common problem. It happens when you use the "root" user or an application's installer overwrites your settings for the folder in question.
You need to remove the invisible .DS_Store file from that folder. From the terminal you could do this:
sudo rm /Applications/.DS_Store
Disclaimer: playing with the terminal can be dangerous. You use it at your own risk!
If asked for a password, enter you normal admin password. Then, set the folder as you like it and it should stick.
