MacBook v. MacBook Pro for hdc-sd1
I know someone on this forum will have the answers I'm looking for.
I recently purchased a Panasonic hdc-sd1 to record our new child. I've been using iMovie.
My wife's MacBook Pro does a good job of converting the recordings to HD .mov files.
I can always use her machine.
Here's my question:
Is this conversion operation processor dependent or video card dependent?
I think it's processor. If it is, then I could purchase a MacBook and dump the video to it and save some money.
Working with iMovie may be a different story. I don't really know.
Anyone else using one of these cameras? What equipment are you using.
