Does anyone know, if there's a free application available (for MAC) with which to build up an archive of DVDs and CDs. I just need a tool, that can store some information about the data contained on the data carriers, something like a digital library. I could only find something like that for windows. But I'm sure there has to be something like that for MAC (for free!).

Are you looking for as database to track your collections? ... If so, you might try Delicious Library.

Scan the bar-code using an iSight camera, and it gets all sorts of info off the web about it (from Amazon, I think.)

If you mean a backup, you're able to make one in disk utility.
