iPod - Mac - PC

Hi folks.



My sister just bough an iPod Classic 80GB.



Here are the questions:



- Can I plug it into my Mac, and show her how to download music / movies onto it, with out it then not working right on her PC?



When I plug it in, it wants to format to my Mac?

    Assuming things are the same on the "Classic" as older models, you should leave it formatted for Windows and it will also show up on a Mac (doesn't work the other way around though). Just don't let it be formatted for Mac and also you will only be able to apply updates etc. via Windows.



    This is how we have it set up for my sister who doesn't have her own computer but uses whatever PC is around at our place, our mom's or my mac.
