Feasibility of portable wireless storage?

This would seem to be a dream accessory for the MacBook Air (and other laptops): a small battery-powered storage device with built-in WiFi (or Bluetooth?) for connectivity. Would it be feasible to develop something like this with, say, the same size and weight (5 oz) parameters of an iPod classic? It would be pretty slick to be able to bring along an extra 80 gig hard drive, leave it in your brief case, but still access it when needed.
