Regarding the new apps for sale for the iPod Touch: the Mail app syncs with your IMAP-based e-mail, and the Calendar app that we already had syncs with iCal. I'm wondering if the new Notes app syncs with anything on my Mac? It doesn't seem to sync with either Stickies or the Notes widget, but maybe it would with notes in Leopard Mail? I'm not using Leopard so I'd be interested to know.

Just found this on another site, but I don't have a .Mac account so I guess I'm SOL:

    Hi,

If you have Leopard and a .Mac account you can sync Notes on your iPod Touch. You create your notes in the Mail application. Under the Notes section of Mail you can move the Notes to your .Mac account and these will show up on you iPod Touch in the Mail application.

    Voila!!

    No sweat,

Personally I'm more than a little peeved I spent $20 on the software, basically to get notes, and now I'd have to spend $100 just to sync them with my computer.

Hang on. Does this mean there is only iPod Touch syncing with Leopard?! I'm still running the latest version of Tiger, is there any way for me to sync notes?

What's up everybody! I had lots of problems trying to find a good notes sync solution for my iPod Touch, but then after a little research I found Simplenote... It makes it really easy to copy+paste information from the web and have it instantly sycned to my touch. check it out here, hope it helps you all!

    Hi All,

I'm trying to find a Notes application that has security features like found in the old Palm "Memo" app. Mainly I want another layer of password access on my Ipod & Mac to protect sensitive files. Does Simplenote provide this?, or are there other Apps out there?

Itouch notes and Outlook Notes will sync using Itunes 10 or 9.2.1. Outlook Notes will sync to your Itouch by selecting Synchronize notes to Outlook on the info page of Itunes. But, if you want your Itouch to sync to your Outlook, try this. Go to Notes on your Itouch and select Accounts. You will see All Notes, From My PC and possibly other accounts. To have Itouch Notes sync with Outlook Notes you need to create your notes in the ?From My PC? account.
