Whatever happened to file search in finder windows?

In the first showing of the OSX aqua interface, in the finder windows, there was a file search box that worked like the search feild in iTunes. I thought and still think it would be a great feature. So why did Apple take it out? Sherlock? c'mon give me a break...Sherlock is a nice try...but it is too gosh darn slow. I'm on a freakin dual 800 for goodness sake and it still takes 5-6 bounces for it to open, then it takes nearly a minute on some searches. Anyway..back to the main subject of my post, Why wouldn't they keep it in?

    Mail Apple, they have a feedback site. MacOS X is still early in the development stage, there will be some features being removed or replaced.
