PPPoE over Airport on OS X

Hi there!

I have the following problem and I hope you can provide a solution:

The university I am attending offers wireless network access but it requires the use of PPPoE for authentication reasons.

Now is it possible to use PPPoE over Airport under OS X? There has been third party software for OS 9, but since PPPoE is part of OS X it seems obsolete. But as far as I tried, I was not able to bind to protocol to the Airport-card although it should be the same kind of interface than a regular ethernet-card.

Thanks a lot.

Are you using 10.0.x or 10.1.x?

Actually, I don't have a mac yet - I'm going t get one as soon as I have the money.

I'm just interested because the Mac user group thst offers basic support states on their website that there is no such support in OS X yet.

So I guess I will be using 10.1.x as soon as get my mac.

How far did you try then?? Network prefferences has a PPPOE tab for each interface.
