Heather and I got married on this particular magnificent and glorious day and I am looking for ideas to spoil her rotten this V day! I am a sucker for being romantic at times Why? because Heather deserves it and then some! I am a very blessed man and I rather enjoy being with my sweet wife and she loves it when I am thoughtful and I just enjoy her company and her smile.. ok so I am rambling here but I think you get the point.

So give me any ideas you have for such a day as Valentines Day / Wedding Anniversary

So far I want it to be a little on the romantic side, a little "french" etc. hehehe

From Emerils.com:

Culinary Lexicon - Mignardises

Mignardises are the small bites of something sweet that many restaurants serve with coffee at the end of the meal. "Mignardise" comes from an Old French word, "Mignard" that can be both noun and adjective. As a noun it means small child. As an adjective it is used to describe something graceful, pretty, delicate..."Mignardise" is also just a lovely word to say over and over and over.

From Chocolate & Zucchini:

I need your ideas!

You could always just get me a birthday present instead.

If you're poetic, write her a sonnet (there are 14 lines of iambic pentameter). Give her one line per day from the first to the fourteenth. If you're not a writer, you could choose a favourite sonnet. It might be a little late to be thinking about this, but perhaps for next year?

Fellows likes cooking, as indicated in the the above post and in about a hundred others.

If you prepare something special, I sure it will go over well. I don't know your wife at all, but I would guess that she likes the fact that you put a lot of effort into cooking, and will almost be expecting it. A lot of guys think surprise is of great importance, but I believe the opposite: most people like knowing what to expect, especially if the usual expectations are good.

Anyway, a shout out to K&L wines (klwines.com) should you decide to buy some nice vino. They ship to Texas, and they offer stuff you can't easily get outside of northern Cal. These guys are well loved by the wine geeks around here.
