So worried about my purchase.. help?
ok I bought a mac mini and fell in love with it... after a couple weeks the superdrive went out and frys didnt have a replacement so I had to wait... I have extra cash now and I may want to go with a imac for the added performance. Here is the question that worries me..
I had a HP w1907 monitor hooked up to the mac mini... Im guessing this is HP's line of glossy glass screens. I love it though and haven't had any issues. Is the 20 inch mac monitor comparable to it or better? I know this question has been asked so much about monitors on these things but im so worried to buy one and not be happy. Laptops are not in the cards as i need a desktop. thanks to all who can help me

Do you live near an Apple store? Since you mentioned Fry's, I'm pretty sure you must. I would say that the screens on the iMacs are pretty good and are suitable for media professionals, but you might as well have a look yourself. There are quite a few Apple stores in the SF bay area.
Also, you can buy a mini dvi/vga adapter for the iMac and use the HP monitor you have. So you can have two glossy sexy monitors side by side.
Hope that helps.
