Would it possible to link a Mac Pro with this TV?

Would it be a good idea? And would there be any problems?

Sure. You'll need a dvi to HDMI adapter, and you'll have to run the sound separately (HDMI is essentially dvi with audio rolled in).

Not sure if the plasma's native res is supported by the Pro out of the box, but there is a little utility floating around on the web somewhere that lets you customize that.

As far as being a good idea, the down side is that, for computer monitor purposes, the plasma is pretty low res for the size of the screen. The screen image will look much softer than what you are used to with the average LCD computer monitor.

EDIT: I was talking about SwitchResX, available here. One other note: if you ever plan to watch BlueRay discs from your Mac (assuming Apple every releases a drive) you're out of luck; the set up described above doesn't provide for HDCP (copy protection) so HD format optical discs won't display.
