Apple 7 hours in the future...

Hi

Whenever I create a new File or folder in X - 10.1 the creation and modification dates are 7 hours ahead? I've checked all my date an time setting - re-booted etc, but the problem still persists - I looked for info on the Apple knowledge base but couldn't find anything... Is it me or Apple?

Very frustrating...

Have you tried setting the time using a network time server like time.euro.apple.com?

    Hi

I tried setting using the network server, however, my file dates are still 7 hours ahead. I have also had contact from someone else in the UK with a similar problem..?

Very strange. I have no help to offer, indeed I have no comments whatsoever. My mind is a blank slate.

Hey - I fixed it and all is woorking well. The instruction below are for UK but I'm sure they will work if in any other time zone...

Go to International in the system preferences.

    Select the Time tab.

    Set the region to British.

Set button to 12 Hour clock.

Set Noon and Midnight to 12:00.

I also set my Time Zone in Date & Time to 'British' not GMT.
