New MacBook (black/white)?
Gentlemen,
Had you hear about a possible new MacBook (non Pro) with LED backlight, Penryn processors, 2GB and/or aluminum case to be lauched in 2008?
I know that last refresh occured in november but these new features are quite necessary for MacBook that becomes to stay behind of non-Apple notebooks =(
Regards,
Alex, BR

I can't really justify the money for a pro although I was coming close to forking out the extra cash.
I would like too see a macbook that is inkeeping with the macbook air/pro finish. Also with the new touchpad gestures and definatly an LED backlight screen.
It would be nice to see a bigger hard-drive as standard and more base RAM to bring it in line with the Dell competition.
A better graphics card with the ability to run some minor games would also be nice - but I guess that blurs the boundry to the pro too much.
Penryn on the pro sounds like it is iminent, but I can't help feeling that the recent uplift is going to delay things on the macbook.
But I guess Steve is not going to respond to this - so like everyone else I will have to wait and see. I am also waiting for MMS on the iphone before I finally move on from my Palm Treo 680.

AKA: "will Apple halve the price of the MacBook Pro?"
Answer: Probably not
Personally, I think it would be a great business move to see Apple unify the MacBook and MacBook Pro into one lineup where you get to choose screen size, CPU, HDD, RAM, Integrated/dedicated graphics etc independant of one another.
Don't hold your breath though.
