Cant Connect My Network with Ipod Touch

The title says it all.



Ive spend two hours the day trying to get this thing to connect to my network and it just wont work



I go to setting and it picks up the network and i enter my wep key and it says "Can't Connect To "name" Network"



I've tried enteing my Wep key, changing my wep key, restarting my routor and putting $ in front of the password.



Ive looked all over the net and found nothing that helps.

you need the hex for the passkey on WEP. I strongly suggest either changing the router to WPA or buy one that supports it. Take a look at these 2 pages:

Have just changed my password to WPA and it hasnt worked does your password have to be a certain length?



Also tried WPA + WPA2 and WPA and none of them worked.

connect if it's wide open? If you can't connect at all to open networks, then try a FULL RESTORE of the iTouch software (plug it into iTunes, select the device on the left and click the RESTORE button on the settings page). This will erase all data!!!! Still can't connect to open, wpa, or otherwise then your unit has a bum radio. Take it back to the store (if you still can) or to an Apple Store Genius bar (appointment required via apple.com) to swap you out or send in for repair.

Thanks tried it with my network open and i still got the "Cant connect to network" most be a bum radio.

I would try the restore first before trying to get a new one, then if it's still not connecting it's the radio for sure
