same iPhone handset: possible to register it in 2 countries with 2 different SIMs?

hello,



does anybody know if you can register the same iPhone handset in two different authorised iPhone markets, such as in the USA and the UK? Keeping both issued SIMs for use in their respective countries during overlapping contract periods?
