Macintosh Security?

Hi Everyone, this is my first official post. Unfortunately there is no evidence of my being a guest here for about 3-4 years. Not to worry. I felt like registering.

Anyhow, I'm pretty sure this topic has been tired out. However we don't have a concise thread on comparing Mac OS security to that of Windows 2000 security.

I'm actually doing a paper on this for college so any help, I would be most greatful.

Thanks for your help,

Cyberion

As far as features, OS X and Windows 2000 are probably on par. If you're looking for details, you could probably find some FreeBSD vs Windows 2000 comparisons all over the web that would pretty much work out for you.

On another front, OS X is more secure...Security from obscurity. Since Windows so much more popular, it's also much more popular to exploit.
