Hi All,

I come baring what is hopefully a gift which is in demand. At least I know I wanted and couldn't find it.

I am putting together a site called www.appletvjunkie.com. This site will provide thee most current list of HD movies available on Apple TV along with, and this is the most important point as far as i'm concerned, what NEW HD movies have been added on a daily basis. I've looked far and wide and I have yet to find any sort of comprehensive list, so I am taking it upon myself to create it for our Apple TV community.

How many of us have been at work, thinking about a movie to watch for the coming night or weekend, but had no way of either remembering or knowing exactly what HD movies were provided on Apple TV. Well you will now. Remember, this is HD movies only. For a list of current SD movies you can log into the iTunes Store at any time.

I'll do my best to provide any current Apple TV news and I encourage any feedback the community may have.

I know this is a over used term, but, the site is in a kind of Beta mode right now. I am currently using iWeb to produce this site, but, it does have it's limitations. I do hope to move off of it in the near future in favor of something a little more flexible.

So please check out www.appletvjunkie.com when you have a chance. I hope you find it useful.

    Hi All,

Just a quick update. Due to some excellent feedback we have made an update to the movie listings on appletvjunkie.com. We have added Closed Caption info, Dolby Digital Surround Sound info and movie ratings for all.

Thanks again for all the great feedback.

    Eddie

This is very helpful, and would be great if you kept it up. Looks like they've been adding one movie a day, huh? Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Yeah, it seems like at the very least they have been making tweaks to what they are listing. I'm not sure if I would expect them to add a new movie everyday though, but, thats what the sites for to catch them if they do

We?ve made our first addition today to Apple TV Junkie, our HD Podcast Section. This new page includes the top 10 Favorite HD Podcasts, the Top 10 General Podcasts and the Top 10 New Releases as listed by Apple TV. We are looking to expand our Apple TV offerings in a few different ways, but we thought this would be the best way to easing into it. Enjoy!

As Jobs stated in his keynote, Apple TV is supposed to have 1,000 movies on tap by the end of this month. That SHOULD mean we'll see a huge jump in movie titles next week. They are only 1/3 of the way there.

That was before Apple TV was delayed for an additional 2 weeks though. I wish they'd stop removing an HD movie for every two they add; same goes for the HD trailers.

I was hoping Apple TV would grow to the point of being like the commercial for Quest, where the woman behind the hotel desk says, "We have every movie ever made, available 24/7." Now I get the sinking feeling they are going to just rotate movies in and out of a constant 1000 - 2000 movie pool.

That's not a plan that will beat Netflix (90,000 titles) or any of the other big boys. If anyone has the money, online storage space and means of delivery, it would be Apple or, less competently, Microsoft. To sell it to the masses, it's all about content.

You're exactly right, Ramsey. For this Apple TV thing to work, it's got to be a one stop shop. If there are only 1000 titles to choose from, and only 100 HD titles, people will have to rely on another source for rentals and therefore won't get in the habit of even checking Apple TV for a rental availability. If they're just going to cycle through movies, it's no better than using your cable provider's On-Demand service.

With the slight site redesign of the site yesterday the direct URL to the Movie List page changed. An unforeseen side effect of this is that all of your bookmarks are now broken. I am sorry for this inconvenience. So please update your bookmarks to the new list URL @ http://www.appletvjunkie.com/appletv...HD_Movies.html.

    Thank You.
