ADC to VGA help question

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and I'm in need of some advise. I have a dual 1.8ghz G5 and I'm trying to use dual monitors.I'm in search of an ADC to VGA adapter to make this happen. I know this is a discontinued item and really hard to find on the net. My question may be a little novice in thinking but I was just wonder. Is it possible to use a ADC to DVI adapter and connect it to the G5, then use a DVI to VGA adapter to bridge between my computer and VGA monitor? Hope this doesn't sound crazy, but I'm a little desperate to make this work. If there is a better way please shed some light....Thank you all in advance.

This was the ADC to DVI adapter I found:

Thanks again,

You won't know for sure until you try it, but it should work. Just keep the receipts and return it if it isn't satisfactory.

Lucky you don't have to go the other way (trying to connect a DVI computer to an ADC display). Those cost $200.

Before you try to spend $$ on a lot of adapters, take a look at some video cards. OWC specials in selling upgrades for Mac. Getting a new video card should pretty much only have DVI x 2, which is what you will need: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/video/hardware/

They are also a bit cheaper on the adapers, if that's what you decide to do. The ADC>DVI are limited to 24", so that might play into what you'll need.

Hey thanks guys for the response....I think im gonna go ahead and try the adapter trick. If that doesn't do it I'll just go for a new video card.

Thank for the help, I'll let you know what works.
