Ok, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is.

I want to take the songs from my iPod, and put them on iTunes on my new MBP, but it's not letting me?

I have the settings at: (on the iPod)

Summary

- Open iTunes when this iPod is connected

- Manually Manage music

- Enable disk use

Music

Nothing is on, as when I click on Sync Music, it says if I do, all music on the iPod will be removed, and replaced with the music on the MBP ? this would be very bad

If I click on the iPod, then on the Music, the music shows up on screen, but if I try to copy any or all of it over, nothing happens?

I've tried to Export, Import, and nothing happens?

What am I doing wrong?

Use the computer that put the music ONTO the iPod. Move the iTunes Music folder from that machine to your new machine and you'll be all set.

you could do as Kingofsomewherehot has shown, OR you could use one of two programs. Music Rescue which can be found here on apples website http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...sicrescue.html

or use the program Senuti (iTunes backwards XD) which is available here http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/

Both of which were recommended to me when I first got my mac and needed to get my songs and stuff off. I went the music rescue route seeing as its on apples website and if something went bad in installation or something I wouldnt want to be thrown with the "well you have software here from a third party that isnt endorsed by apple" argument. But again do as you wish, I had a great experience with music rescue, but the senuti interface is A LOT better than the music rescue one. Best of luck.
