It seems fujitsu has made a new laptop. Extremely light, and small. If i read correctly though, it's a bit thicker than a macbook pro, it's a touch screen tablet, and it's not all that expensive.

edit: wow, apparently this laptop is old news. Sorry guys haha i didn't read the date. I saw it on the news this morning and just found the article on it. Once again, my bad.

The macbook air isnt even close to the smallest laptop around, probably not even in the top 20. Its claim is its the thinnest laptop around, which it likely is and which will probably only last 6 months or so before another manufacturer builds something thinner wih the same processors.

It advertises thinnest, but that is because "thinnest" is quicker to advertise than "3 pound laptop, yet full size screen and keyboard", which is really the market they are trying to reach - those who want the lightweight category but do not like the smaller screens and smaller keyboards.

Apple's angle is to take away one of the major drawbacks to lightweight laptops - the resulting smaller screen and keyboard.
