ntfs or fat32?

Can OS X read/write/access to a Windows NTFS drive?



Have a 40gb external combo firewire/USB 1.1 hard drive to transfer files between old Windows boxes and new iMac, when it gets here.



FAT32 will not allow me to partition the complete 40gig. NTFS has no difficulty using entire drive. Would like to use NTFS but only if it is usable on both systems.

    i have had no trouble sending files to and from macs and PC's, where the PC's are formatted using NTFS. i'd go that route if i were you.
