Size of virtual machine 2x what Windows says???!!!

SO I installed Fusion and have my XP virtual thing going and all....I gave the virtual machine 18 GB of space, and if I check in Windows on my computer I have used 5.4 GB so far...but it is actually taking up 9 GB of space on my Mac hard drive when I check the virtual machine folder in Fusion!!!



What gives?
