Do MB / MBP use same peripherals?

My wife an I both need new laptops, and we have decided to switch to mac platform.

We are on a tight budget. My wife's work will buy her a new macbook pro, but I have to buy my

own. If I purchase a macbook, and my wife has a macbook pro, can we share the same peripherals,

e.g. powercords, dvi cables, etc.?

Or are they different?

Thanks.

Well, I think the power supplies are a bit different so I don't think that would fly, but yes for everything else. The only exception would be if she had a FW800 peripheral. The Macbook has a FW400, but not 800, port.

The MacBook Pro's adapter can be used on either machine, but the MacBook's adapter can only be used safely on the MacBook.
