seeing mac's on a network problems

Hi folks. Here's what I'm up against.

I have 2 intel macs and a 8600 on this network. I have the 8600 for the floppy drive and it has our phone monitoring system on it.

Right now I'm trying to get files off of the 8600 that I just download to it, via some floppies, but I get connect?

The 8600 is on 9.1 (and I could connect awhile back), the intel mac's are on 10.4.11.

With the newest Intel Mac I can see the 8600 when I go to the network, but when it tries to connect I get this error message:

It can't connect because the AFP protocol is not compatible?

I can see the intel macs from the 8600, but I get an error message on the 8600 as well, different message, but still an error message.

Now I have tried to connect the 8600 direct into one of the intel macs, but I stlll get an error message?

I guess I could connect a UPS external drive unit to the 8600, but I'd rather just excess via the network ? how do I do it folks?

Skip
