Screenshots - It makes the sound when I take them, but doesn't save them

I have a Macbook Pro which has 10.5.2 on it and when I try to take screenshots is makes the sound like it did, but when I look on the desktop the image isn't there.



I was wondering if anyone had any idea about what is causing that. Get back to me.

    In 10.5 the screen shot should be called "Picture..." do a search for that!

    I have tried that but all I get is my pictures folder and other folders named pictures and stuff of which I have searched and haven't found anything that would be screenshots. Sorry to be a pain.

    What key commands are you pressing?



    Note that holding the control key with the other keys copies to clipboard and doesn't create a file.

    Recommending a different program does nothing for his problem.



    What keys are you using to take the screen shots? Have you added any utilities that mess with the key codes? Have you changed any of the keyboard shortcuts in the Keyboard and Mouse panel?
