How is the Macbook's graphics card, I know it is integrated but how great is it? Will it be able to play games like Spore or Civilization 4?
I cannot tell about the specific games, but do not think about the Macbooks as gaming machines, because they are not. The Macbook graphics are pretty weak for today's standards, but fine for general use and to guarantee a fluid OS X experience.
Others here may be more helpful on the games which you ask for.
Looking at a lot of these games you should be able to play games at a lower setting and of course if you have a lot of RAM things should run smoothly, just don't expect to play at the highest setting.
Only downside to playing all those games is that you need some kind of restrain from keeping the MacBook trying to lift off due to the increased heat and the fan speed result of it.
I know this from World of Warcraft myself mainly.
But playing Warcraft 3 makes it less hot it seems.
But all in all, totally forget about proper gaming on a MacBook imo.
Even World of Warcraft can't be played properly, although some people even seem to raid with them. Raiding usually means loads and loads of graphics effects making the MacBook crawl to a 1 fps piece of crap.
If you seriously want to game at all, go for a MacBook Pro or don't at all.
