Can I boot to an .iso on a firewire drive? I've been having trouble with my disc drive lately, so this is how I'm trying to work around it.
Thanks.

I'm fairly certain that what you're trying to do isn't even possible in OS X.
The computer needs the OS and/or drivers in order to interpret an ISO file. So trying to boot from an ISO (ie. no OS running yet) wouldn't work.
Is this process possible in other operating systems? It's a concept that I've need even heard of.
You need to get your optical drive replaced, or get an external one.
