Dynamic IP , DNS services

I chose the Genius Bar for this as it's probably considered an "advanced" topic...

Does anybody use a DNS forwarding service so that they can host a website on a Dynamic IP machine? (Say you want to host your own site on your iMac through your cablemodem connection.)

Does it work well?... Any problems associated with such a service?... Any suggestions?

DynDNS.com is a free Dynamic DNS service. If you are planning on hosting a web site, I would check your ISP ToS. Some of them might have an issue with you hosting a web site. A friend had his account suspended for running an FTP server back a few years ago.

For what I'm going to be doing with it, they won't care ... it's not gonna be a public site.
