How to position my MBP to allow it to dry out after a spill

I spilled a 1/2 glass of water last night on my desk and some of it got on the keyboard of my MBP. I really have no idea how much was on the keyboard because of how panicked I became. I immediately wiped off, unplugged, shutdown and removed the battery. It is now drying in the "tent" position, but I am not convinced this is the best.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should position my MBP for optimal drying?

How long should I let it dry?

Any other suggestions?

It's not terrible difficult to remove the top cover and check for any water getting under the KB. The keyboard has a black sticker which covers the entire bottom side. It won't protect everything but if it wasn't a lot of water, I doubt it got past it.

I'd leave it in a warm area of the house for a day or two if you don't want to check. Personally, I'd say it's worth taking out 16 screws or so and removing the top cover. Only takes a few minutes.
