In line FM modulator for iPod+car stereo

I have an iTrip that my friend gave me with her iPod, and it seems to work so-so. I read that you can get an FM modulator to install in-line, between the radio and the antenna and wondered if anyone has tried these.

Thanks

yes i did, it fit behind the radio and had a tiny switch to turn in on to a preset fm frequency. didn't work, had to reset all my itunes songs to max volume but it didn't work--music was always barely audible.

best was a cig lighter plugin unit by dlo (not the mini) was top rated by macworld--that was my wifes, here new car will come with a ipod adapter (vw jetta). try to do a direct line into radio aux --try bestbuy other auto audio places. but the inline one doesn't work. had it removed.

check macworld review of these items. that's where i found the dlo
