Thanks to Pentagon funding, the next age of computing is getting a kick-start. How long till this trickles down to consumer-grade computers? Possibly within 10 years? What's your best guess?

    Complete waste of money in my opinion, computing is going touch and portable. We'll have a big computer in the den for the foreseeable future, but all members of the house will also have portable touch-screen computers.

    huh? what are you talking about. this is processor technology. as long as all these computers have processors this technology is relevant.

    Other governments are also funding this kind of research, and it will trickle down to consumer electronics eventually.
