what to do?? $1499 for pro now or...
hey folks,
i have an opportunity to by a brandy-new macbook pro for $1499 in the next couple of days from a college bookstore. It's pretty comparable to the base model pro on the market now for $1999.
(MacBook Pro 15.4" Part# MA896LL/A 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1440 x 900 Resolution 2GB RAM 160GB hard drive 8x double layer superdrive NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 256MB SDRAM Originally: $2299, Now $1499) + installed ilife '08 and leopard.
i can only spend around $1500, and was planning on buying a new macbook (non-pro)at the end of the summer.
i'm wondering what all of you smart, apple-lovin' folks think. is it better to buy the older pro now, or wait and get more potential updates at the end of the summer, but not on a pro?
thanks!
