iTunes locks up MacBook Pro

After a couple minutes browsing in my iTunes 7.6.2 music library (about 10,000 titles), by clicking the CD covers' artwork in Cover Flow, my whole Mac (17" MacBook Pro; OSX.5.2) locks up. Completely frozen. Force Quit doesn't work, and the only way out that I know is a hard restart.

I've had this happen about a dozen times already in maybe the last 4 weeks.



Anybody else have this problem?

    If you updated to itunes 7.6.2 which it looks like and also QT 7.4.5 they bith screw a rather fair amount of permissions which do cause strange issues as I found similar to yours. After I did a permission repair and restart for good measure all now seems fine again.

    I did that, rob, and the permissions repair took like forever (well, about a half hour). But thereafter I haven't been able to reproduce the prob. Sofar.
