I have a MacBook Pro, and was wondering if you can hook it up to a Apple monitor? If so, would I need any special cables or software that aren't included with the monitor?

Thanks,
You can hook it up to just about any monitor, that's what the DVI port is for. Monitors should come with cables.

Depending on the monitor, you may also need another adapter to go from your MBP to the monitor cable. Once that's settled, to set up the second monitor (as a mirror or as a separate display), go to System Preferences and click on (surprise!) "display". Play around with the options until you have something you like!
