Why OS X costs twice as much as Windows

I bristled when I read this headline, but after reading the article, I had to admit it's true - in my case. When I upgraded from Panther to Tiger awhile back, I felt like I had a brand new computer.

While I wouldn't call Robin Harris a Mac fanatic he's certainly in favor of the platform. Most of his focus is storage and that's a windows dominated field but he's not afraid to show Macs a little love.

I'll gladly pay 2x for an OS that rapidly advances and doesn't cause me much stress. Moving off of Win XP to OS X for my daily computing has been a blessing, tranquil and rewarding.

    Bring on 10.6!!

Its very true, its very true, I have been a mac user for three years in May, and I can tell you I just bought Leopard (haven't used it yet), and I might even get Mac OS X "The Next Cat", if the features call for it (for me, I lost my instal disk and need it to fix my mac problems...so why not just buy Leopard, instead of the hassel on finding a Tiger disk...).

However, one thing I will add, is XP users upgrading from Vista received a lot of new features, but less then what they were promised. I think thats where most people were mad at Microsoft, that Longhorn promised so much, and yet they received so little.

Steve Jobs smokes his money. (lol)
